Daniel Deagen is a licensed Texas public adjuster specializing in property damage, business interruption, and ordinance or law coverage claims. With more than 25 years of experience spanning insurance adjusting, construction, estimating, and business operations, Daniel brings a practical understanding of how property damage is evaluated, how repairs are performed, and how complex claims are developed and negotiated.

His experience includes significant property losses involving hurricanes, wildfires, windstorms, and other catastrophic events. He understands the importance of thorough investigations, detailed damage documentation, careful policy review, and accurate repair estimates in building a well-supported claim.

A Unique Combination of Insurance and Construction Experience

Before founding Pivotal Public Adjusters, Daniel held senior leadership roles in both the insurance and construction industries, including serving as an Executive General Adjuster and Vice President of Operations. He also founded Pivotal Steel Buildings, overseeing project design, budgeting, compliance, and field operations.

That combination of experience gives Daniel a valuable perspective on property damage claims. He understands not only how insurers evaluate losses, but also the construction methods, materials, labor, and costs involved in repairing damaged properties.

Throughout his career, Daniel has worked on complex, multimillion-dollar claims involving commercial, multifamily, and residential properties. He has collaborated with attorneys, engineers, contractors, and other specialists to evaluate damage, substantiate estimates, and address disputed claim issues. His background also includes leading teams, managing large construction projects, and maintaining oversight of budgets, quality, and compliance.

Education and Professional Affiliations

Daniel holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University and maintains memberships in the Texas Association of Public Insurance Adjusters and the Insurance Appraisal and Umpire Association. He also has experience with Xactimate and other claims and estimating tools used to evaluate and document property damage.
